For over twenty years, DiMalA's work has stood out for the intuitive exploration of the natural world
and for the versatile adaptation of various graphic techniques to the most diverse materials
such as Wood, Canvas, Leather and Ceramics,
discovering her own techniques
to take her Art to its maximum expression.
DiMalA was born in Duitama,
in the Colombian Andean region of Boyacá.
Endowed with an Artistic sensitivity present since her childhood, her knowledge and skills took shape from her undergraduate degree in Textile Design and postgraduate studies in Fashion Design that she obtained in the United Kingdom.
From these creative spaces, she developed the principles of the history of Art and Composition, the handling of pictorial language, color and forms.
With so many other experienced elements and over the years, her style developed in the environment of the abstract expression of Nature, which ends up taking shape in each of her opus and pieces.
She has had exhibitions in San Luís de Ucuengá (Nobsa, Boyacá, Colombia),
Vancouver (Canada)
and Washington (United States).
She also maintains a permanent exhibition space in her personal workshop in Bogotá.
